We from Department of Mental health nursing and 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing students ( old and new batches) organized World mental health awareness programme on Theme - 2017 "Mental health at workplace" on occasion of 25th anniversary of world mental health day which will always inaugurated by world federation of mental health since 1992.
The invitees of our programmes are: Mr. Sonnjjay Mathur, Mrs. Monisha Mathur, Chairman, SCMAT were Guest of Honor, Dr. Vijay Mahendru, Psychiatrist is our Chief guest and Mrs. Lolita lal, Principal, Nursing Department, SCMAT as President of our function along with the presence of Academic Co-ordinator Dr. Garima Gupta, HR Mr. Sengar and all department teaching faculties along with II year GNM, BPT III year Students.
Firstly we welcomed our chief guest Dr. Vijay Mahendru and had small orientation to SCMAT which is guided by Mrs. Shipra Sachan, Asst. Professor, Dept. of OBG, SCMAT.
From orientation we moved to LT-11 to inaugurate the world mental health day awareness programme with lighting lamp by chief guest , Guest of honor, academic coordinator and our principal .
Firstly, the programme was started by Ms. Swati Singh, 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing student, followed by Welcome speech by Mrs. Shubha, Asst.Professor, Dept. of Child health nursing,SCMAT. Then theme introduction given by Ms. Lusin, 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing student and after that report on theme was presented by Mr. Sunil D.C., Asst. Professor, Dept. of Mental health Nursing through powerpoint presentation. After report presentation the skit was performed by 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing students, Shivanshu, Visket and his team members on theme simultaneously followed by drawing on theme by Ms. Lusin,3rd year B.Sc. Nursing student on smart board.
After that skit, panel discussion on Misconceptions about Mental illness was performed by Mr.Abhinav as Moderator and 6 Pannelists –Ms. Preeti, Ms. Stuti, Ms. Nidhi, Mr. Sumit, Mr. Shashank and Ms.Sneha of 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing students.
After Pannel discussion video was presented by Mr. Sunil D.C. from the clips of Sathya Meva Jayathe regarding mental illness spoken by Psychiatrist followed by Laughter therapy video.
After the video display our programme proceded to distribute the prizes for winners of poster competition held on the theme of world mental health day. The winners name is announced by Mrs. Shipra Sachan, Asst. Professor, Dept. of OBG, SCMAT and prizes delivered by Chief guest and by Guest of honor. The prize winners are First place - BPT 1st year - Ms. Roshni Jaiswal,Ms. Shristy Gupta. Second place - B.Sc. (N) 1st year - Mr. Abhinav Upadhya,Mr. Akash. Third place - GNM 2nd year - Ms. Anjali Dixit,Ms. Anjali Somanishi.
After prize distribution the programme was proceeded to chief guest speech followed by vote of thanks by our Mrs. Lolita Lal , Principal, Nursing department, SCMAT.
